The operating philosophy of the new WK3 is to enable users to access
operating and control functions as well as to provide manual access to
processes quickly and conveniently all over the world. The standard WK3
is equipped with the large 12" TFT touch screen monitor for convenient
and easy operation. Furthermore, the chambers are equipped with an
illuminated CONTROLPAD* that permanently displays the current
operating state and the operating parameters. Users thus have a clear
view of all important processes and can complete their work just using
their fingertips. The chamber is opened by simply touching the radio
remote control. This also ensures that the chamber cannot be unlocked
by unauthorized persons.

Authorized users have access at all  times to the current application via  the integrated network interface and  the webserver on the Internet and  thus get the feeling that they are  standing right in front of the unit. The technical features of the new WK3  generation have also been  optimised. Manufacturers place great  importance on a high level of  operational reliability and performance  of their products. The WK3 is in  the position, to maintain all climate  parameters during continuous  operation - e.g. at 85°C/85% relative  humidity, even under exceptional  conditions, e.g. midsummer outdoor  temperatures or extreme climatic  conditions inside the product.

Temperature and Climate Test Chamber WT / WK

The test chambers of the WT and WK series permit reproducible
temperature and climate tests for application in all sectors of quality
control and improvement. Regardless of the shape and nature of the
specimens, high temperature constancy is achieved thanks to the efficient,
homogeneous temperature conditioning and climate conditioning of the
test space which in turn ensures accurate test results. The climate and
temperature working ranges comply with all relevant testing standards
such as DIN, ISO, MIL, IEC, DEF or ASTM.

These chambers are used to test photovoltaic modules and solar panels
regarding temperature and humidity influence. The current specifications
can be fulfilled with the WEISS model WK-2500.
With a test space volume of 2,500 liters and accessibility of the chamber
floor the WK-2500 reaches nearly the same performance data as a
chamber of series WT/WK.

Turntable Cold-Heat Test Chamber

A rotary table system with drum frame,  which can be lifted or lowered, is  installed in the test space. It allows the  successive testing of several circuit  boards. Being installed on the drum  frame, the specimens are moved to the  test station for contacting. Temperature and Climate Test Chamber (ATEX)

Some specimens discharge  inflammable substances. In correlation  with air this may result in an explosive  mixture. Special actions have to be  taken to prevent explosion of this  measure and to ensure a safe test run.  With the Weiss test chambers WT/WK-  II 2 G EEx IIB T3 (ex-proof test  space) any tests can be performed  during which an explosive atmosphere  may be caused in the test space. Test Chambers with switchable Ex-Protection

Certain specimens emit inflammable substances. Combined with air,
these substances can develop a gas mixture which is explosive. So as to
prevent such an atmosphere causing an explosion, special precautions
need to be taken.

The Weiss Climatic Test Chamber WK-600/70 (I) - II 2 G EEx T3
(explosion-proof test space) allows switching over from normal to
explosion-proof operation. If activated, the explosion protection allows
the performance of tests with explosive substances.

Two units in one: With activated explosion protection, the test chamber is
classified into category 2, zone 1. With deactivated explosion protection
regular temperature and climatic tests can be performed.
