Symmetricom designs, manufactures and markets hydrogen, cesium and
rubidium standards, and quartz oscillators in numerous configurations for
multiple markets and applications.
These products are the result of many years of research and development
performed in the areas of atomic physics, electronics engineering and
software design.
We design and manufacture our own physics packages, in which a
resonance in the hydrogen, cesium or rubidium atom is used as the basis
for the stability and accuracy of an output reference signal.
We also design and manufacture the supporting electronics, software and
packaging for our products.

Symmetricom’s 5071A primary frequency standard delivers unsurpassed
accuracy, stability and reliability for the most demanding laboratory and
field applications.

Metrology and Calibration Labs
The 5071 offers exceptional frequency stability which is a key
specification that directly affects a laboratory's ability to deliver
timekeeping and calibration services to its clients. With a stability
specification for 30-day averaging time, the 5071A can keep extremely
predictable time and phase for long periods. Further, the 5071A can be
used for long-term averaging of noisy signals such as GPS.
Performance suited to advanced communications
and tracking systems
Stable frequency generation and frequency flexibility are required to
transmit and receive signals properly between ground terminals and
communication satellites. The 5071A’s state-of-the art technology
produces offset and primary frequencies with the same guaranteed
stability.

The Symmetricom Cs4000 is a new cesium frequency standard platform
that provides exceptional performance in a configurable 3U rack mount
chassis. The Cs4000 is designed for high precision timing and frequency
applications requiring high stability, low noise RF and 1PPS reference
signals. Symmetricom's advanced Cesium III digital technology is the
engine that drives this exceptional performance.

The Cs4000 includes a new color front panel Graphical User Interface
(GUI) that provides easy to use monitoring and control of the instrument.
All functional control of the cesium and optional output cards are
managed via the front panel GUI. The GUI is a touch panel LCD screen
that provides easy at a glance access to cesium health, control and
configuration data. Remotely, you now have two methods of interfacing
with the Cs4000. A new Ethernet interface provides monitoring capability
via an embedded web page server. Both static IP and DHCP are
supported. The Cs4000 also provides an RS-232 port that allows the
user comprehensive monitor and control access via ASCII commands
or via Symmetricoms Monitor 3 windows based utility program.
The Cs4000 is designed to provide standard and custom output signal
formats. The standard outputs include, 100kHz, 1, 5, 10MHz and 1PPS.
Optional outputs include T1 and E1 both of which support multiple
signaling and alarming formats. Realizing that custom signaling is part of
many system designs, the Cs4000 has a custom output area that can
support most signaling requirement. Because of this, the standard output
signals are not affected and can be utilized along with whatever custom
format is required.
The Cs4000 meets the challenges of laboratory standards, satcom
terminals, mobile communications systems and a wide variety of test and
measurement applications.

Symmetricom's CsIII™ is a lightweight, compact, economical cesium
frequency standard. The technology developed for the CsIII is an
evolutionary step forward in the quest for higher stability, lower phase
noise and longer life. An ever-increasing base of demanding users in
communications, timing, synchronization and other applications take
advantage of this performance.

Packaged in a 2U, 19" rack mounted chassis; the CsIII weighs less than
30 lbs. Standard features include 5 and 10Mhz sine wave outputs,
a 1 PPS output and an RS-232 interface used to monitor and control the
unit. Optional T1/E1 telecom outputs and a portability kit are also
available. The portability kit replaces the rack mounting brackets with a
movable handle and hard shell carrying case making it ideal as a remote
calibration standard.

Symmetricom's cesium beam tube replacement services offer you both
time and cost savings. Installation of a replacement tube restores your
cesium instrument's tube performance and can extend your cesium
instrument's life span at a fraction of the cost of a new instrument.

The appropriate high or standard performance replacement cesium beam
tube meets or exceeds the original performance levels when all other
components of the instrument perform to original specifications. We offer
cesium beam tube replacement for all Symmetricom cesium instruments
and many models of cesium instruments formerly manufactured by
Hewlett-Packard, Agilent and Datum.

The Symmetricom 8130A is an enhanced version of our popular M-100
rubidium oscillator. This modern, off-the-shelf militarized rubidium
oscillator is ideal for use in tactical applications where shock, vibration,
humidity and other environmental factors are a challenge. The circuit
boards are conformal-coated for moisture resistance, and special
precautions are taken for improved shock and vibration hardening. Use of
a filtered power/monitor connector minimizes EMI emissions and
susceptibility. Designed for ease of integration into frequency and timing
systems, the Symmetricom 8130A offers a smaller size MIL atomic
frequency reference with a heritage of over 25 years of proven
experience in the design, qualification and production of atomic frequency
references.

Symmetricom’s Model 5401 and Model 5402 Disciplined Rubidium
Oscillators track a 1 PPS reference input to provide frequency outputs
(1 PPS and 10 MHz) with the stability and accuracy of a primary standard,
provided that the reference input is exact. Typically, the 1 PPS input
would be obtained from a GPS receiver that outputs a corrected
1 PPS epoch.

The Symmetricom 8100 is an enhanced version of our popular
commercial LPRO rubidium oscillator. This ruggedized COTS rubidium
oscillator is ideal for use in tactical applications where shock, vibration
sensitivity, excess relative humidity and other environmental effects are
a challenge. Designed for ease of integration into frequency and timing
systems, the Symmetricom 8100 offers a low profile and single circuit
board construction that uses surface mount technology. The circuit board
is conformal-coated for increased moisture resistance, and special
precautions are taken for improved shock and vibration tolerance. The
height and footprint easily meet the requirements for 1U VME
applications. Use of both a filtered D-Connector for I/O signals and an
outer mu-metal cover minimizes EMI emissions and susceptibility.
For ease of integration, the Symmetricom 8100 only needs one input
supply voltage and will allow direct plug-in into another circuit board.
